ALPI 4000. La "Grande Bellezza". Fantastic, terrific and terrible

Si è concluso sabato 27 il terzo appuntamento di IGT. Le condizioni meteo sono state estremamente favorevoli per agevolare tutti i valichi montani, mentre le alte temperature della pianura Padana hanno reso la percorrenza pianeggiante più difficoltosa del dovuto. La stragrande maggioranza dei partecipanti ha comunque espresso un grande apprezzamento per il tracciato che è stato definito “spettacolare”. Gli oltre 300 partecipanti esteri sono stati i più prodighi di apprezzamenti, chi aveva partecipato negli anni precedenti alla 999M o alla 1001M era “esterefatto” dalla varietà di bellezze e paesaggi che l’Italia offre. The IGT third appointment came to an end on Saturday the 27th. The warm weather helped crossing the Alps, while hot temperatures made ridings across Padana plane harder than expected. The majority of the riders was however impressed by the magnificent track and landscapes. A number of positive feedbacks came from most of the 300 foreigners participating. Those who rode 999M and 1001M in the past years expressed wide appreciation for Italian beautiful views and landscapes. The FB page of the Event @alpi4000 includes comments, reports and photos. These are the numbers: 476 inscriptions, 392 at start, of which 29 women. 345 Brevets, of which 311 BRM and 34 BRI. 37 nationalities.
